Chalk Your Walk

Write a few encouraging, uplifting, words (or a pic) on the ground with sidewalk chalk (permission must be granted, of course) that helps to tell the "story" that you want people to know. For example: "A little kindness goes a long way!"

Create Your Own Adventure

Make your own adventures by checking things off your bucket list! Does your bucket list include visiting a museum, restaurant, or park? Or maybe visiting someplace new? Share the top five things on your bucket list that you hope to accomplish this summer below. Go forward and adventure!

Every Picture Tells a Story

Take a photo(s) of something in Beacon that you feel tells a story. Email to Ginny at youth@beaconlibrary.com (with a brief description if you like), and we'll post it to the library's Facebook and Instagram Pages.

Great City of Beacon Scavenger Hunt

https://www.facebook.com/BeaconRec/Beacon Rec is setting up a super "Great City of Beacon Scavenger Hunt" beginning July 14th. Kids will solve weekly clues to find pieces of the master puzzle. Beacon Rec will be advertising the Hunt (via newsletter, FB, & Instagram), and giving details on how kids can participate. Children can pick up their Letter De-coders at the Library and at the Rec Center. This will enable them to find the "letter clues" hidden around Beacon in order to decode the messages. Find the clue on the outside of the Library during Week 3 (after July 28th). After you do, check off the Mission and gain 100 points! Don't forget to finish this fantastic Scavenger Hunt.
